The Centre for Geometric Biology (https://cgb.org.au/) is currently seeking
to recruit two postdoctoral research fellows.
1. An adaptive dynamics modeler who will use adaptive dynamics
modelling approaches to explore the drivers and consequences of body size
evolution. Working with other researchers within the Centre for Geometric
Biology, you will parameterise models based on empirical findings and
provide advice around key tests of model predictions.
2. A life history empiricist with strong empirical and analytical
skills, to explore the energetics of individuals, populations and
communities and the interplay between life history traits and energy flow.
Experience using cutting edge quantitative approaches is essential.
Successful candidates will have a PhD in theoretical biology or empirical
ecology and demonstrated experience in developing theoretical models in
fundamental ecology or empirical research using cutting edge quantitative
approaches. They will also be able to demonstrate their ability to
undertake outstanding research; with a high quality research publication
record in recognised journals.
