Position available: PhD Research Assistantship in Plant Community Ecology The Department of Earth and the Environment (https://earthenvironment.fiu.edu/) at Florida International University has a Ph.D. assistantship available for a student interested in plant community ecology. The ideal candidate will have some experience in vegetation ecology, vegetation-environment relationships, and geographic information systems (GIS). The research will focus on ecological processes involved in vegetation responses to change in hydrologic and fire regimes in both short- and long-hydroperiod ecosystems in the Florida Everglades. Assistantship covers stipend of $23,460 and tuition.
