Visiting Director of the Geographic Information Systems Lab Environmental Studies at the University of Illinois at Springfield
The Department of Environmental Studies (ENS) at the University of Illinois at Springfield seeks a Visiting Director for our GIS Laboratory. This is a full-time, 12-month academic profession (non-faculty) position that will begin 16 August 2018. Candidates must have a graduate degree, doctorate preferred, and be able to teach fully online courses. Anticipated teaching load is an introductory remote sensing (online) in Fall 2017, graduate level GIS (online) and graduate level research methods (on-campus) courses in Spring 2018, and an online course in Summer 2018 (multiple options possible). This position will also conduct occasional 1 to 2 day workshops on-campus for the Springfield community and assist with student and faculty research that involves GIS and spatial analysis.
