Big Cat Research Project in South Africa now accepting volunteers! Research will focus on leopard, lion, and cheetah numbers, identification, and data collection. Volunteers will be expected to keep a detailed field journal in addition to participating in data collection, photo identification, behavioral observations, and basic camp chores. This program is an ideal first experience in fieldwork.
Applicants should be familiar with or willing to experience fieldwork conditions and long hours. This program is tailored for undergraduate students, but we welcome volunteers from unrelated fields and anyone with a passion for big cats or African wildlife is encouraged to apply. No prior experience is necessary, but a motivated and positive demeanor is essential. undergraduates should speak to academic advisers about the possibility of course credit or individual projects. These are often applicable but do vary by university. Those interested should review details found on the website: http://ravenadventures.com/big-cat-project/ and to apply, should contact Sabrina Salome at [email protected] with their CV or resume attached.
