The Department of Biological Sciences at Salisbury University is accepting

the position of Assistant Professor of Biology. This is a full-time tenure 
track position.
Area of Specialization: Wetland Ecology

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: Teaching is the primary responsibility 
with the load 
equivalent to 12 contact hours per semester. Teach undergraduate courses 
including 
Ecology, Wetland Ecology, and introductory majors’ Biology course in addition 
to 
developing other coursework in specialty area; utilize effective teaching and 
classroom 
management strategies that enhance the success of diverse learners; engage in 
scholarly 
professional activities, including a research program that involves 
undergraduate and 
Master’s level students; and, actively participate in departmental, university, 
and 
community service initiatives. Duties include academic advising within the 
Biology/Environmental Science Dual Degree Program.

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Biological Science or Environmental Science 
with 
research background in Wetland Ecology. Evidence of potential for excellence in 
teaching 
and research. Applicants are expected to demonstrate effective verbal 
communication 
skills.
