This tenure-track Assistant Professor will have yearly teaching
responsibilities of Introductory Biology, an undergraduate laboratory in
biological data analysis using R, and a contribution to the M.S. in
Environmental Biology program in the area of biostatistics and/or
ecological statistical modeling.
This position also will have rotating teaching responsibilities
including an undergraduate ecology course, an interdisciplinary writing-
intensive course in the Regis College Core Curriculum, and an M.S. in
Environmental Biology course with a focus on M.S. project development.
Regis College is primarily an undergraduate teaching institution whose
faculty members are expected to advise students and participate in the
academic governance of the department, college, and university. This
position also will contribute to the M.S. in Environmental Biology
program by participating in program meetings, coordinating with other
faculty members teaching in the program, reviewing student non-thesis
projects, and advising students. The successful candidate must include
inquiry in any laboratories taught; participate in pedagogical and
curricular development in the program, department, and college; and
maintain active research that involves undergraduate students.
The position’s appointment will be as a tenure-track Assistant Professor
in the Biology Department. The position’s academic expertise should be
in ecology or a related discipline.
