Postdoctoral Fellowship in China Wildlife Conservation. The Smithsonian
Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI) is offering a 2-year Fellowship in
wildlife conservation centered on wildlife and landscapes of the giant
panda reserves in Southwest China.


Fellow must have published record of wildlife conservation work in China
and experience dealing with nature reserves and the appropriate agencies
and NGOs in China. Fellow would be stationed at SCBI in Front Royal,
Virginia but make frequent trips to China to establish new projects,
inspect current projects, and network with conservation partners,
potentially spending up to half the year in China depending on project
needs.


Research funds are available for joint projects with SCBI Conservation
Biologists working in China.


Requires PhD in wildlife, forest, or landscape ecology; with preference
given to applicant fluent in Mandarin and English with advanced education
in US. A stipend of $55,000 per year plus health benefits is available for
2 years, with the position starting early in 2018.  Review of applications
