Position Description Summary Job Duties The Department of Life Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in plant biology. We seek a motivated and talented person with a research expertise in coastal/ marine plants, broadly defined. This position will further expand and complement our M.S./Ph.D. programs in Marine Biology (http://www.marinebiology.tamucc.edu) and M.S. Biology (http://biol. tamucc.edu/ms//index.html). Appointment will begin fall 2018. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally-funded research program, supervise graduate students, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in botanical science. The typical teaching assignment for Ph.D. faculty in the Department of Life Sciences is 3 courses per academic year, including both graduate and undergraduate course offerings.
