Are you new to teaching? Or are you looking to try something new, like active learning? Check out the online course offered by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) December 2017 – April 2018. Although the course is convened by ASM, it is appropriate for any educator teaching the life sciences.
The course, based on ASM’s Science Teaching Fellows course that has trained over 300 candidates, consists of six 2-hour webinars, pre- and post- assignments, and a strong mentoring component. Participants will learn to implement best practices in curriculum development, use student-centered teaching approaches, identify resources to improve their students’ learning, and more. We encourage you to share this opportunity with your community of educators and future faculty.
