The University of Pittsburgh Honors College is seeking an instructor with a 
background in field ecology to co-instruct with geologists a field studies 
course operating outside of Laramie, Wyoming between June 24 and July 28, 2017. 
 The ecology instructor is the primary lead for about 50% of the lessons 
occurring during those five weeks, teaching student-centered activities that 
focus on developing skills in assessing biodiversity in different habitats.  
For the remaining half of those five weeks, the instructor provides logistical 
support and back-up instruction on a daily basis, with a course Graduate 
Assistant providing additional support. Instructors and students reside 
together in cabins and a lodge located in the foothills of the Medicine Bow 
Mountains near Arlington, Wyoming and regularly camp at a nearby field site 
owned by the University of Pittsburgh.  Preference for residents in broad 
vicinity of Pittsburgh or Laramie.  For further information see
