You are invited to attend a climate workshop presented by the High
Plains Regional Climate Center hosted by the Crane Trust Nature and
Visitor Center on May 17th and 18th, 2018.

This workshop is targeted for researchers and land managers hoping to
better understand climate and weather data. We aim to enable them to
assess future risks and current impacts of climate change and weather
patterns in Nebraska and the Great Plains ecosystem. We will focus on
the following questions with possible additions or slight shifts in
focus depending on attendee interest:

What weather and climate data are available and where do I find them?
What time periods, and spatial scale do these data cover?
What factors about the data and measurements need to be considered when
incorporating data into models?
Minimums, maximums, averages, and drought indices: what works best when?

On May 17th the workshop will begin at 9 am, with check-in and coffee
available at 8:30 am, and extend to 5 pm. On May 18th we plan on the
workshop going from 9 am to 3 pm. You will find more detailed content
information attached in PDF format. Please feel free to forward this to
others who may be interested.
