Dear Colleagues, This year, April 13-15th 2018, Princeton’s students are organizing an unprecedented event called “Princeton Environmental Ideathon” with this year theme being: “Cities of tomorrow”.
There is so much to do to make our cities more sustainable and more environmentally friendly and it will take multidisciplinary efforts to change the perception of people on the environment and make a significant impact. We believe that changements come from people and that the current generation of undergraduate have a great challenge to solve if they want a brighter and more sustainable future. Without entering in the current political debate surrounding Climate Change, it is indeed clear that sea level rise, increase in drought, changes in seasons patterns or migration of human population to cities will affect our future, and it is necessary to start deeply thinking about it now. With the organization of an Environmental Ideathon, we want to give opportunities to undergraduate and Master students to collaborate and design the most innovative solutions that will shape our future. Millennials want to live in the cities and this year, we are giving them the opportunity to share their idea and build collaborative projects on what the cities of tomorrow should look like if we were to solve environmental issues. If you know any problem-solving, team-player and creative students from your program who, you think could be a great candidate, please encourage them to apply here<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc1Y79IQxZFV8RRdgo8_PVoDCKgawDXOncIdXeRwdPcOpFwRQ/viewform> or visit https://www.peideathon.org. Deadline for consideration is April 1st To reduce carbon footprint, we will give priority to East Coast based University and College Students. Paul ************************************** Paul P.
