opportunity to conduct research in agroecosystems at a USDA-Agricultural
Research Service lab in Mandan, ND. The staff is great to work with and
you will learn skills that can be used in various areas of ecology.
The USDA-ARS Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory seeks highly
motivated individuals for the following positions:
To assist in field and laboratory data collection for projects
associated with research on crop and rangeland agro ecosystems. In the
field, the incumbent will play an active role soil and plant sampling,
measuring soil-water parameters, and evaluating basic physiological
characteristics of plants. Laboratory activities will include processing
soil and plant samples for analyses and evaluating of basic indicators
of soil quality. The incumbent will also assist with data entry into a
basic spreadsheet program. Individuals applying should be interested in
learning new field and laboratory protocols for evaluating soil quality,
have a willingness to work on diverse tasks, and be committed to a
teamwork approach to meet project goals.
