The 2018 Flat-tailed Horned Lizard (FTHL; *Phrynosoma mccallii*) Biomonitor training registration deadline has been moved up to 11 April 2018. Please submit your registration form by or before this date. Any registrations received after 11 April 2018 will not be processed. You will still be allowed 10 days to submit payment for your registration as long as the registration form is received on or before this date. For more information see below, and the registration form is attached.
Registration: The 2018 FTHL Biomonitoring Training will be conducted by Southwest Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (SW PARC). The dates set for the training will be May 22, 23 & 24. Email Trudie Wells at [email protected] for a copy of the registration form; attachments cannot be sent out via the ECOLOG listserv. Please fill out all areas on the registration form. You will need to download it, fill it out, save it,and email it back to Trudi. Each training takes one day and we are offering three days of training. There is a maximum of 24 participants per day and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Spots will not be held without registration AND payment being received. The fee for this training will be $100.00 per attendee which covers the travel expenses for the trainers. We adhere to a no refund policy so if you are unable to attend after payment is received we will not refund your cost. Your payment is transferrable to someone else for the 2018 training. If you cannot transfer to another trainee for the 2018 training your payment cannot be refunded. Credit card payments are appreciated and preferred. Denver Zoo accepts all major credit cards except American Express. Upon receipt of your completed form, you will be sent an invoice via email indicating what day you are tentatively registered for and a link to process your payment through. You will have 10 days to submit your payment. Once payment is received, a confirmation email will be sent. Denver Zoo facilitates these payments so your credit card statement will indicate you paid through Denver Zoo. If payment is stopped the spot will be opened up for another attendee. Please make your Accounting Office aware. Check or Money order payments, please email the registration form indicating a check or money order is being sent. Check or money orders need to be received within 10 days of receipt of your emailed registration. Make checks or money orders out to Denver Zoo and mail to: Trudie Wells c/o Denver Zoo 2300 Steele Street Denver, CO 80205 You will receive a confirmation email that your registration and payment were received and on what date we were able to accommodate you. For the training, you will need to plan on being at the meeting point at 5:30 a.m. the day of your training and you should be done no later than 2 p.m. that day. The details of where to meet, what to bring, etc. will be sent out closer to the training date. The initial meet up before you head into the field will be in El Centro, California. The actual place to meet in El Centro is still to be determined and will be included in the information you will be receiving closer to the training dates. The field portion of the training will take place east of El Centro and we will be returning to El Centro for a short classroom portion to conclude the training. Materials for the class will be sent separately from the registration process. The workshop takes place in and around El Centro California, within the range of the FTHL.
