The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is hiring a for a full time Senior Laboratory Assistant position in Stockton, CA. This position provides laboratory support for the Bay Delta Region’s Native Fishes Study. The Native Fishes Study is an important part of the IEP Operations Program. The incumbent primarily processes samples of larval fish and microscopic organisms (zooplankton, including copepods, cladocerans, and rotifers) in the laboratory using a microscope. Additional duties include purchasing supplies, data entry and editing, sample Quality Control checks, and occasional collection of samples from a research vessel in the San Francisco Estuary.
