Dear all,
We are convening a technical session ‘[T129 Evolution of Terrestrial
Ecosystems: Community Assembly through
Time](https://uc.box.com/s/c14obaemw1wzfhg8hpiobmm4uzgoqb72)’ at the
Geological Society of America annual meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana,
4-7 November 2018.
In this session, we will bring together researchers working to
understand how the terrestrial fossil record can contribute to our
understanding of the causes and consequences of ecosystem change. We aim
to represent work done from broad taxonomic and temporal perspectives,
using a variety of analytical approaches.
Invited speakers include Ellen Currano (University of Wyoming),
Jacquelyn Gill (University of Maine) and Julien Louys (Griffith
University).
If you are pursuing research that fits the scope of this session, we
hope that you will consider submitting an abstract. We want to present a
diverse range of topics, so projects relating to any terrestrial taxa or
time period are encouraged.
[Abstract submission is open now and will remain open until August
14th](https://community.geosociety.org/gsa2018/home). Please email us if
you have any questions and feel free to forward this information to any
potentially interested colleagues.
Regards,

Dani Fraser (Canadian Museum of Nature, [email protected])
