This conference intends to bring together practitioners and policymakers from Asia and Africa, researchers and scientists, industries and development partners and broach issues critical to addressing illegal taking, trading and trafficking of protected species, and outline the available (technological, infrastructural, financial and governance) support for national governments to enhance information management for facilitating reporting to multilateral environmental agreements like the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and for monitoring progress against relevant Sustainable Development Goals. Participants will have the opportunities to engage in discussions, showcase good practices, highlight successful initiatives; while synergizing and networking for meaningful collaboration.
