Dear friends, It is imperative that forest protection across the US become a central part of the US agenda on climate change. To that end, over the past 6 months, we have been working with ENGOs, climate justice leaders, scientists and frontline community groups to develop a national Stand4Forest Platform. We are in the process of getting sign-ons from scientists, climate leaders, environmental and justice organizations and elected officials.
The platform will be released in conjunction with a national week of action focused on forests at the end of September. Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, NRDC and over 50 other organizations have already endorsed the platform along with scientists including Dr. Bill Moomaw and Dr. Bill Schlesinger.
