Don't miss the opportunity for you and/or your students to keep up with the rapidly changing world of bat survey methods and technology. We offer comprehensive classes and workshops every year at SWRS and other field sites across the U.S. College credit is available through the University of Tennessee Martin.
Each workshop is conducted by seasoned instructors with decades of bat-survey experience and at each class, students receive hands-on training with a full-range of survey equipment for bat capture, handling, tracking, and acoustic recording. Graduates consistently complement us on the strength of these training events, the quality of our instructors, and the comprehensive classroom resources and field equipment provided. Instructors from Bat Survey Solutions, LLC, have taught over 200 training classes since 1992. During that time we've trained nearly 3,000 students and handled over 20,000 bats. In 2018, students can still choose an 8-day/7-night Combined Survey Methods Field Workshop at our flagship Park City, KY, site near Mammoth Cave National Park. The workshop dates are 4 -12 September 2018. For students who want to focus specifically on acoustic monitoring, we also offer a 3-day Bat Acoustic Data Management Class in central Pennsylvania in mid October.
