 seeks to fill two 9-month, full-time and tenure-earning, Assistant Professor 
positions, one in Plant Biology and one in Marine Biology. For the plant 
biology position, we are looking for candidates with a strong background in one 
or more of the following areas: climate change, population biology, modeling, 
plant ecophysiology, plant-animal interactions, plant-microbe interactions, 
ecosystem function, and evolution. For the marine biology position, we seek an 
individual with a contemporary research focus on any aspect of marine biology, 
and the full range of ecosystems and taxa, that complements and broadens our 
current faculty expertise. 

Candidates are expected to establish a strong externally-funded research 
program and contribute to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate 
level. A Ph.D. in a relevant field and appropriate post-doctoral training are 
required. USF is located in close proximity to diverse terrestrial and marine
