Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) is a great organization that works on professional development and retention in a diverse array of fields. We have chapters at Virginia Tech and Virginia State University. I don’t think there is a chapter yet at ODU but we’d encourage you to start one! There is a junior MANRRS for high school students as well. https://www.manrrs.org/
