Hello ECOLOG-L subscribers, Several weeks ago (listserv.umd.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ECOLOG-L;ed0f5117.1810c), I wrote to let you know that ESA would be taking over administration of the listserv from the University of Maryland, and migrating the archives to our own system. The original target date for that transition's completion was slated for today, Nov. 12; it will actually be completed later this week.
What You Need to Do You need to take no action regarding your subscription. If you are currently subscribed to ECOLOG-L, those settings will be retained during the migration. A notification message will be sent to the list after migration is complete; at that point, you will be able to log in at the new website to manage your settings. What Will Change ECOLOG-L will have a new home and web interface at http://community.esa.org. You will be able to manage your subscription (community.esa.org/p.htm?m=editsubscriptions) after the notification that your account has been activated. You are also invited to review the posted community rules. Posts by email to listserv.umd.edu addresses will bounce shortly after the transition is complete. Expect instead to see messages from ECOLOG-L arrive from community.esa.org addresses. If You Have Any Questions ESA anticipates a smooth transition, but understands that technology solutions are imperfect, especially when managed at large scales.
