Hello, everyone I need to determine how much time a specimen spends in different areas of an enclosure, with the result being a 3D heat map; an option to include have the result be a 3D representation of the enclosure with the heat map reflecting activity in a set period would be even better.
The specimens have RFID tags, but from what I've read the enclosures are not large enough to determine position from the receivers due to the wavelength used. Short of dividing the enclosure in a grid and spending hours observing and manually recording the time spent in different areas, is there another way to record this data? An option that allows the recording of more than one specimen inside the enclosure at the same time is preferred, and a method that works while the animal is submerged or underground (all within an enclosure) would be gravy. Cheers, D
