Dear all,
Forwarded on behalf of Pádraig Carmody:

Call for New Editor: Geoforum
Posted on behalf of Sarah Hall and Harvey Neo - please direct informal
inquiries to Sarah Hall
(sarah.h...@nottingham.ac.uk<mailto:sarah.h...@nottingham.ac.uk>)
Geoforum is looking for a new editor to join Sarah Hall, Harvey Neo, Kanchana
Ruwanpura, Wendy Shaw, Rob Fletcher and Esteve Corbera in the management of the
journal. The position is to replace Pádraig Carmody when he completes his term
at the end of 2017.
Geoforum -
www.elsevier.com/locate/geoforum<http://www.elsevier.com/locate/geoforum> - is
a leading international journal publishing innovative research and commentary
in human geography and related fields, with more than 700,000 downloads per
year. While we welcome applications from any area of human geography, we
particularly encourage applications from those with specialisms in development
or political geography.
Geoforum publishes research articles that are conceptually-led and
empirically-grounded, critical reviews, and editorial interventions. It also
features a highly-regarded 'themed issue' format that enables a focused
exploration of emergent and/or significant areas of inquiry: recent examples
include themed issues on Conservation and Security, Beyond Land Grabbing and
Climate Justice and the Caribbean.

Expressions of interest, including a CV and a short cover letter, should be
sent to Geoforum's journal manager, Banupriya Ganeshan
geofo...@elsevier.com<mailto:geofo...@elsevier.com> by Monday October 2nd 2017.
The position begins on January 1st, 2018. A small stipend and conference
allowance for journal related travel are attached to the position.
