the Nordic countries. The project will focus on the challenges and
opportunities that the Nordic countries face in constructing a regional value
chain for high-energy-density batteries. Specifically, it aims to explore

  * The geographies of the battery value chain (mining, battery research and
production, battery recycling) in the Nordic countries
  * The impact of battery Gigafactories on local socioeconomic, environmental
and political development
  * The challenges and opportunities of battery recycling and reuse

This project will draw insights from different fields, such as sustainability
