Some new people have joined the list, so what follows is a
brief description of the list. Julie should have a web page
up in a few days and i never did get around to promoting the
list anywhere. Don't know how people are finding it, but a
few are.

The goal of Ecopath is to connect daily life with sustainable
philosophy.
What most people want (myself included) is specific knowledge
and understanding they can use in daily life. Most of us
also want to enjoy life and make change slowly. We want the
vision of sustainability to be motivating, positive, and see a
reasonable path to follow. At the same time it isn't
possible to force one model of sustainability. We really
don't know what the future holds, so we are stuck with many
visions and converging paths.
An Ecopath is a PATH created by the goal of sustainability
married to a focus on design (planning). Design without a
goal goes nowhere and combining design with both action
and a goal creates a path. Many of these ideas are from
Permaculture.
I have always thought the actions of men the best
interpreters of their thoughts.
