Chestnut Sources

Here in Oregon it is possible to grow the European and
American chestnuts (no blight yet) and i've got a few
planted but there are safer choices.

Most chestnut trees are grafted and some catalogs do not mention
that grafting problems sometimes show up later.  I've lost two
trees to late graft failure and none of the non-grafted chestnuts
(seedlings) have failed.

My current selections for hardiness and sustainability are:
 1. Skioka (hybrid or selected chinese?)
 2. Chinese
