Winter savory is a perennial and is suppose to taste like
the summer savory that Sandra is growing. I've only grown
the perennial version and find it very good. Last year we
almost killed the plant by overharvesting and this year i'm
waiting with knife and fork in hand.

Walked through the woods yesterday, found that this is the
year for miners lettuce. It is everywhere. The salmon berries
are starting to ripen now and nettles are getting too big for
harvest. The new growth of douglas fir trees is just right for
making tea and wild ginger isn't doing well. Many of the early
spring plants are going to seed expecting a dry summer. The
surprising thing is that all this happened without my noticing.
I need to spend more time walking and looking.
