But it's still important to at least know who, what , where and how that data
was produced. Especially today when the media often picks up stuff and
reports it as gospel with little or no documentation.
Years ago I was looking at Ostriches as a possible farm enterprise.( I
passed) What amazed me the most..was how little detailed info was available,
and how certain studies??? etc. were often quoted again and again as gospel.
Turns out many extension folk were just passing on what they had previously
read . A bit scary:)
At least if I know the source, and understand the process it might bolster my
confidence in the data.
