July Projects 1. Bare ground should be in cover crops or mulched. Local weeds and grass is good source of mulch. 2. Multi-year flowers do well if planted now. This includes: Dasies Teasels Lobelias Roses Violets Valerian family Buttercups buckwheat Poppy 3. Harvest or shade leaf crops before they bolt. 4. Begin next years compost piles and spray to keep moist 5. Check trees for scale and spray dormant oil if found.
