This strange phenomenon is due to the use of inexpensive greenhouses and makes a convincing argument. >If your current experience provides some good lessons in greenhouse design >and construction, please share them here. There is a discussion list for small greenhouses called the Hobby Greenhouse Association List. To join: email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] saying: subscribe HGA-L I have three experimental greenhouses and a commercial greenhouse which is partially constructed. In each case the greenhouse was designed to fill a specific need and this dictated the design to a large extent. One greenhouse is devoted to a single tree (i love figs), and another is for raising seedlings for the garden. These are very small structures. Another greenhouse is attached to the house and is used to overwinter plants and heat the house. The one i'm building now is 20x40 and will be used for growing food crops. With all this variety it is difficult to know what would be interesting to others, and we haven't touched on the topic of cloches <grin>.... greenhouses are great energy tools. Anyway, it is interesting that now we are in the middle of Y2K the discussions have died. Good summary. I think this idea goes back a few hundred years so i don't own it. Seems, each person who comes along has to discover it for themselves then they share it with all those who have discovered it before them. ---- jeff owens, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.teleport.com/~kowens underground house, solar power, self-reliance, edible landscape to leave ecopath: unsubscribe ecopath -> [EMAIL PROTECTED]
