Tim Berners-Lee, who invented the World Wide Web almost a decade 
ago while working in Switzerland as a researcher at CERN, says in his 
forthcoming book that he dislikes being asked why he hasn't tried to 
make a lot of money from the Internet:  "What is maddening is the 
terrible notion that a person's value depends on how important and 
financially successful they are, and that this is measured in terms of
