I've never heard of a housebroken duck or had much luck training them.
Mostly they trained me.
We did have a solitary Muskovy(sp?) for one year and it was interesting
seeing the duck adapt. At one point it sat on the porch looking in
the window, ate with the cat, allowed petting, and followed us around.
Then we got a bunch of geese and Indian runners. The muskovy abandoned
us for the indian runners.
One of the indian runners got sick so we separated it for a few weeks.
After that it was much friendlier. This might be the clue to training
a duck.
Ducks, geese, and chickens are better than TV. We had angora rabbits
for awhile and they can be interesting also. Sheep are dependable and
consistent. Goats are perpetual adolescents.
