For we are, actually, pioneers trying to find a new,
path through the maze of tradition, convention and
dogma. Our efforts are part of the struggle to mature
the conception of relationships between men and women..
in fact all relationships. -- Anne Lindebrgh

Everything is connected and our relationships are one form of
connection. Our culture focus on "love" as if it is mainly
between people and tends to give everything else human
characteristics so we can love them. Anyone who has watched
movies for children will see animals who act like people. In
fact, our culture tries to convert just about everything into
the current model for "human" behavior. Even animated trees,
ants, or toasters, can be found if one looks.

Connections/relationships is one way to view life and is an
area industrial cultures are having trouble. Things like
wars, numbers of prisoners, and crime rates are good
indicators. At the individual level it is simply a question
of "are we surrounded by comfortable relationships?". What
positive steps or models can be used by individuals to
improve relationships?
