Green Building Discussion Group
================================

Welcome to the discussion forum on green design and construction! This
discussion is sponsored by Iris Communications, Inc., creator of the
Oikos Web site and REDI database of green building materials,
Environmental Building News (EBN), an international newsletter on
environmentally responsible design and construction, and the Center for
Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology (CREST). You can find a wealth
of great information at their web sites: Oikos <www.oikos.com>,
EBN <www.ebuild.com>, CREST <www.crest.org>.

This is a free flowing discussion among the participants. The
sponsors assume no responsibility for the content or accuracy of
any posting.

Please feel free to read the list without posting. Many
newcomers feel more comfortable "lurking" until they get a feel
for the group. However, the community is best served when you
contribute your thoughts to topics about which you are
well-informed.

All messages from this discussion, which began in August of
1996, can be found in a searchable database compiled and managed
by CREST. This archive is a gold mine of thought-provoking ideas
and detailed advice. You can see the archives at
<www.crest.org/sustainable/greenbuilding-list-archive/index.html>.
