The Food and Nutrition Board announced an increase in the recommended intake of vitamin C and vitamin E. The increase was about 25 percent. ---- The last issue of Countryside magazine had an interesting article by Mike Miles called "Live and Let Live" For the last 25 years he has been involved in intentional community. Here are some quotes: I'm tired of intrusions, of endless meetings, of not being able to do the simplest things without running it by half a dozen people. I find myself being "stuck" with community because the other options don't look much better. Now, I find myself looking less for agreement and more for tolerance and respect of differences. At the end of the article he suggests we give up our fantasy's about community and deal with the reality. It can be difficult and requires acceptance of both the good and bad. ---- The Center for a new American Dream is focusing on kids with several new publications.
