A Devious Question

What is the most economical and effective household air cleaner?
       a. exhaust fan
       b. electronic ionizer
       c. HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) filter.
       d. dirt

Since this is a "devious" question the answer has to be
dirt.  There are some plants involved also but the air
cleaning actually occurs in the soil.  How?  Seems no one
knows how it happens all they have are measurements that
prove it occurs.  Check for yourself:
