The same thing is happening/happened in our county. We recently had a new
natural gas plant sneaked in on us, with a very short period of public
commentary, which was basically disregarded anyway. Power prices are going
up quickly and will negate or even overtake the cost-of-living raises, so my
desire for solar/wind power may eventually be considered as a possibility by
my nay-saying husband! : ) There really is a silver lining in every cloud,
if you search hard enough! (as long as it's not a mushroom cloud, right?)
