I found a website describing the Windward intentional community which had this quote: The first law of ecology: You can't change just one thing http://www.windward.org/index.htm To me this is another way of saying everything is connected and the impact of our actions ripple out like a pebble in a pond. This changes the world and we are constantly adjusting to this changing world. Sounds pretty basic, but these ideas are rejected by some people. A few weeks ago i saw a post to one of the Pc groups saying that modern ecology has shown not everything is connected. It was encouraging us to dump these old simple ideas and become more scientific.
