I feel blessed that I chose an occupation for reasons other than money.  Early in my 
career, money was always short and I felt frustrated, often regretting my career 
decision that seemed more idealistic than practical.  Eventually, my material 
deprivation led me to looking for other joys in life.  As a result, I feel I have 
achieved richness that would never have been available to me had I made more money.
