Not sure. I think someone quoted it out of a book
he wrote.

No, Is it worth reading?

Switching subjects... I finally had time to do a taste
test between orach and arugula. The arugula has a
savory taste and orach is more bland. Both have fleshy
leaves and work well in salads.

I saw an interesting idea for garden art in
Permaculture magazine. A sculpture that is habitat.
The whole thing is made out of bird houses, bee
hotels, snake dens, and a water bowl. This
would make an interesting product or project.

In local news the energy crisis continues to hum along
with its share of confusion. Reminds me of the
Y2K discussions a little.

I just joined a simplicity circle which discusses
reducing consumption. Last time we talked
about how affluent most people are today and what they
would do if a real crisis occurred. We are used to
solving most needs and issues with a purchased
product or service.

Anyway, i sometimes feel guilty about being affluent and
saving by being self reliant. Then, i realize that my
affluence is mostly due to self reliance. Our problems with
wealth are caused by a few elites who hoard money/power and
avoid self reliance.

      and connections to nature)
