For some strange reason us humans do
not take some natural events seriously.
Things like earthquakes, floods, drought,
and severe storms take thousands of lives
each year and those involved are almost
always surprised and unprepared. Try
this checklist to test your awareness.

1. Do you have a list of emergency phone
   numbers easily accessible?

2. Do you have an emergency medical kit?

3. Can you deal with lack of power for
   a few days?

4. What would you do when awakened to a
   building on fire?

5. What are the odds of an ozone hole creating
skin cancer problems in your area?

6. Which disasters are worth worrying about and
when is worrying a distraction? Do you have
the data necessary to make this decision?
