I am trying to get a feel for tuning the TCPIP stack for FreeBSD. I am using an intel 386 board with the pro 100 network adapter. I have the following parameters set: memory=20 meg, sockets=2048, pending=2048. I have approx 100 threads running some sort of sockets applications.
What I don't have a feel for is the pending events. Memory abd sockets seem to be sufficient.
