Hello,

I just updated my sandbox to the latest version of eCos on the anonymous CVS
and now I cannot launch an application in RebBoot without using GDB…
My last source update was on February 6 and everything worked just fine
until this morning.

Platform : i386 PC target with i82559 ethernet
Steps (from chapter 12 of Massa’s book) :

- Updated my sandbox
- re-built Redboot (configured like explained in chapter 12 of Massa’s
book)
- re-built eCos library
- re-built my app
- booted the PC with the redboot floppy
- At the redboot prompt :
Redboot > load –v –h 10.10.10.x –m TFTP myapp.srec
Entry point : 0x00108000, address range : 0x00108000-0x001504d8
Redboot > go
$T0408:8810f61f;04:dcff0900;#ce$T0408:8810f61f;04 :dcff0900;#ce

If I compile eCos and my app with debug options and load it with GDB it
works… It looks like if I « have to launch » my application with GDB since I
updated to the CVS heap.

Regards,

Cedric
