Andy, thanks for your link (and thanks a lot Savin :-). I downloaded the package which Savin had posted in the ecos-patches 2003/08/03. It seems for me what "your" stuff is a bit newer, it is dated 2003/08/26. I'll try to play with both of them tommorow.
