-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I am trying to assign a IP address to a bridge in ecos, but it just doesn't work. I am using the example bridge.c and am trying to make a SIOCSIFADDR ioctl call to the bridge0. The error message is: "Invalid Argument".
The bridge itself works without any problems, but without an IP address . It should be possible, or? - From the ecos documentation: "A bridge interface responds to all of the ioctl calls specific to other interfaces listed in netintro." Can somebody help me? How can I create a bridge and assign a IP address ? A few more information: I use a custom designed board with a ARM7 core and two ethernet interfaces. I want to use the spanning tree protocol and make the board accessible from both interfaces with one ip address. >From what I've read, this should be possible with a bridge and the spanning tree protocol. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks, C.
