[ECOS] Is the ecos name trademarked?

Is the ecos name trademarked? The reason I ask is that Echelon has just 
introduced it's "Echelon Control System (ECoS) Platform" ( 
http://www.echelon.com/metering/ecos_platform.htm ) which is a software 
architecture for controlling smart grid power systems. There is enough 
of a potential overlap to cause confusion, and at some point in the 
future they could demand that ecos change its name.
