I was just looking through ecryptfs code and found this in
ecryptfs_d_release() in dentry.c
mntput(ecryptfs_dentry_to_lower_mnt(dentry));
dput(ecryptfs_dentry_to_lower(dentry));
Shouldn't the dput be before mntput?
