Ok, it's me again.
One thing I noticed: When accessing an encrypted file via ecryptfs after having performed an overlay mount for the first time after boot - although not having any key in the keyring - I get to see the encrypted rubbish (the lower file). When I unmount ecryptfs and then mount it again on the same mountpoint as before, I get -EIO instead of seeing the lower file (which should be the proper behavior -- IMHO). Benedikt
