I'd like to use rsync to back up my encrypted data to an external drive, and ensure that I get everything I need to be able to restore (e.g., wrapped-passphrase, etc.). I've seen some talk of an -o encrypted_view option. Is this the best way to backup my encrypted home? I'm also going to occasionally go to optical disk for offsite storage, but I'm guessing the process would be similar. Any advice would be appreciated.
